First game of the year for Grace Prep. Went out and rented a 300mm f/2.8L lens for the weekend - wow! I'm feeling a few symptoms of L sickness. I definitely needed the 2.8 - wide open, ISO 1600, and still marginal shutter speeds of ~1/240-500 when the sun went down. Anyway...
GPA takes the field... Thud... Backup QB warming up... #45 runs away with the ball for a touchdown... Don't know if the EXIF is intact or not - I haven't had much experience with it. Thanks for looking! David Migl

Hi David
Nice shots. HS night football is TOUGH. One item: your colors are too bluish. You need to fix the color temperature in post-processing. -- stan |

well done for a first try at it. I am guessing you didn't do much to make these look their best on the web since they look a tad soft... but I am sure they would pop up very nicely.

Thanks - I haven't gone much in the way of post-processing as I'm not very knowledgeable in that - any tutorials you can point me to?
Talk about tough, especially the lighting all around and in the end zone. One shot I got of an endzone celebration was at f/2.8, ISO 1600, and still needed to be at 1/125. I tried to rent a 70-200mm L but the camera shop was out of them. The 300mm was the only other 2.8 telephoto they had. It was way too tight for cheearleader shots - there's an excuse to buy another camera body and lens........ If you want to try to edit, have at it (how do I turn that option on, BTW?). I'll try adjusting the color temp. Thanks for all the comments.
