i was in that fighter squadron in 65/69 we had f4's then got to go up in one for about 45 min was a ride of a life time. the pilot did a restrited clime what a blast. in the 60's some enlisted were used as RO radar observers
it's taking about a min a pic on 56k but well worth it thanks nice shots

Great pics. The last CAT launch of a F-14 was July 28 of this year. The F-14 is a brute of an airplane. Even though it is old it is still a top notch fighter.

BOy I hated my time in the navy, but when I got to watch the planes on my carrier, I was like a little boy watching them land and take off. Absolutely amaing machines. These shots capture some of their best moments, showing the beauty of these planes! Excellent work! What's going on with the C2 in pic 4? It looks like there are more than 4 blade on each motor? Is that real? or what?

The E2 fleet is being fitted with new 8 bladed props. The C2 may follow in due course as well.

Wow, nice photos.
Unfortunately I had to remove the img tags as they all exceeded the 800 pixel limit and there were more than 8 embedded images.
