Default Nature in Tokyo

as bizarre as this city is, its not too hard to find nature.
This is Inokashira park Station; which like 2 stations away from my house.

the fungus (fungi?) looked too grotesque so I used B/W...but monochrome is so hard to process....what do you guys think?

and here's the color version.

The b/w makes it look pretty interesting.

I like it a lot. I like the green in #2, but I think it works even beter as a B&W.

Like the color better - couldn't distinguish between the moss and bark on the b/w.

I really like the green, I wonder how it would look if the green is kept, and the background is made b/w?

Thanks for your comments on my photo. Glad you like it! I think that's moss in yours, not fungus. Incidently, we have a small town near here called Inokashira too.

I much prefer the colour image, the black & white is a little dark and flat looking to me.
Cheers Steve
