Default "Echo", "Cleopatra", "Kahn", & "Yeager".

"Echo", "Cleopatra", "Kahn", & "Yeager", in no particular order.

I'm throwing these all in together. I should have kept better notes, there were three Red Tailed hawks there, and I'm sure that I have some of the file names & IDs wrong. So it's sort of "Pot Luck"!
(It was SO much easier when a writer tagged along! Except that then I had to put up with the writer!)

Except that I'm pretty sure that this is a Red Tailed Hawk.

Two other threads where I think I got the names right:

Captive Raptors: "Kahn"

Captive Raptors: "Cleopatra"

Lens was the 70-200 f/4 at between 3-5' mostly. Pic #4 was 131mm, 1/160 sec, f/9 @ ISO 400.

I didn't try to keep the feathers very sharp, since they're supposed to be soft things? I missed the "sweet spot" with their beaks a lot though, and I was wishing for ISO 100 light.

I think that pretty much covers it, Marie!
I like #4 best, even if I did cut the top off.
Sorta' like the last one, as if he's thinking, "What? No food?"

Great photos.

But I believe 1 & 2 is a Harris Hawk.
