Default Photographing Firefighting

I have recently joined my local fire company and have been asked to take some photographs of the firefighting activities. The daylight/training/stationhouse/truck pics are not a problem. Does anyone have any advice on shooting nighttime fires?

Thanks for any help.

Do a search for a member by the name of Mills. He does allot of this and would be a good resource for you.

check my website down below. For nite shots I try to shoot High ISO as to use as little flash as possible as to not get flash back from the scotchlite. Have any questions let me know.

I met this guy at a workshop last year. He is not only a good photographer but a nice guy.

He is also an admin at the fire-ground forum:
