Default 2007 Chevy HHR

The electrical system on my Malibu died yesterday & this is what they gave me to drive, and since it finally wasn't raining or snowing, I thought I'd take a few shots of it today.

Make the reflections work for you.

3
I put the building behind me to bounce light into the dash.

4 Not sure how I feel about this one.

5
The wheels are lit from the sun bouncing off the concrete just out of the frame.

nice, I like the first shot. I do think however that the interor shot is cropped just abit to much. You have cut off the top of the stearing wheel and the you can only see the top of the gear lever. Which I would have though was a no no.

apart from that nice shots.

Thanks for the comment. I'd agree, but this is meant to be a "Console shot" which is a slightly different animal? Maybe I'll go out & do an interior shot later today.

Nice to have a studio to work with! That was a $1,000 shot back in 1970. Hate to think what it's going for today.
I see they didn't try for the "Blikin' lights". Lots of fun! Start the car. Get out of the way.
Pop the shot before the lights go out. (Crap! Sun went behind a cloud. Do it again.)

I did a few more shots & a quick interior today, & played around with a comp. The gallery is here.

you could sleep in the back of that if you were stuck Frank

you must have felt this car very chunky
different from your usual I imagine (can't remember what a malibu looks like)

but you say it took off fast like........ 'get out of the way'
wouldn't have anything to do with you driving it , I suppose?

beautiful clear shots
love the last especially , of the complete 'group'

the one you're not sure of (#4) looks like it's smiling

beautiful evening sky in the first shot, sets it off

One nice feature!

Actually, I was surprised by how well it handled. Looks were deceiving in it's case.

No, that was me getting out of the way of the shot. After a few seconds, the "Blinkin' lights" go out, but it takes a second for the engine start vibrations to smooth out.

nice shots. something about #6 doesn't look right though. did you try to brighten up the vehicle or something? maybe it's my monitor, but it looks like a copy and paste kind of deal. other than that, i like.

I don't think so. The interior is from a lighter shot, so maybe that's what's bothering you?

Nice shots. However I would like to see a nice shot from underneath the car with no wheels touching the ground. Is that do-able for you?
