I had an older Canon model with ZoomBrowser 1.1 -- then got a new Canon with ZoomBrowswer EX.
When I try to open any of the old databases from ZB EX, I get an error message to the effect that the database has an older format, and to update it to the new format -- but does not offer a clue as to how to do that! It also says that the change is too great for (and I quote) "the update menu item deal with". Brilliant. So I must assume it is possible, but I don't know how. I would like to know. I would think that instructions would normally follow a direction to do something unfamiliar... It finally states that "This version of ZoomBrowser EX uses Database format 8.0, the file format is 5.0". Of course I could just put the files into a folder and have ZB EX build a new library, but the all of the camera settings and the date the photo was taken (etc.) would not be available. Can anyone shed some light on this issue ![]() Thanks. |

Hello,
Well, it's months later. Did anyone ever reply to you. I just posted today and I am desperate. I have the exact same problem you did and I am terrified I will lose my images. If you found a resolution, could you please share one. Did you lose you images? thank you |
