Default American LeMans Series @ Laguna Seca

The first few of several hundred that need to be processed, behold some low-res horsepower goodness:

Aston Martin DBR9

Ferrari F430GT

Panoz Esperante GTLM

Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Porsche RS Spyder

Radical SR9

These are ok, but they need more processing to pop. Slower shutter speed, and using the bottom focus point to get the car out of the middle of the frame are a couple of other things you may want to try.

Thanks guys.

Tim, thanks for the critique. These few were a fairly quick dump just to get some shots posted. I haven't seen many from LS, so wanted to share some of the beautiful racers in participation. I'll try your tips, especially the bottom focus technique and see how it goes (based on some of the samples on your site, I imagine pretty well!). I tried to work primarily at or slightly higher than shutter speeds of 250, but was handholding a non-IS 70-200mm w/ 1.4 extender for all these shots. I wanted *some* keepers, know what I mean?!?

All-in-all, not a bad effort for my first attempt at motorsports photography! I'll share more after some critical examination and processing.

You'll probably have to delete some, but those were with the 100-400 f/4 at 1/160-1/200 @ f/8

The track makes a nice background, so why include the pylon in the 1st two?
