Question Insect ID please?

I found this guy outside of the office today. It's about 8 mm and was stuck hard on this leaf. At first I thought it was a tick of some kind, but I think it was the larval form of something.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi- looks like a harlequin ladybird pupa to me- I've recently had an outbreak of these in my garden.
