Could anyone share their macro pics from the 17-70 please?
Would be interested to see what this lens can do at close ups. |

Nice shots Janika...
Mine are here: www.pbase.com/evandavies/sigma_17_70 You know its not a true 1:1 macro...? Its actually 1:2.3 but its great fun and has a VERY good "close focus" ability.

What I'd like to see is portraits taken with this lens. I haven't really had the chance to take portraiture photos, only wildlife and landscapes. We are heading to Cuba in February and I would love to take pictures of local people with this lens.

Although this is not a portrait it shows what the lens can do.

You can also check out these pictures in my gallery. They were shot with this lens.

Thanx Rob, I found some wedding shots yesterday on another site and they looked very nice and clear, plus they had a warm glow to them which just adds to the beauty of the photographs!

Here's some "close focus" shots I took with the 17-70.
http://picasaweb.google.com/prothert/Flowers Please keep in mind I am a beginner - so if you actually know what you are doing, you can expect better results. Last edited by shaneotool : 29th of October 2006 (Sun) at 20:06. Reason: spelling |
