Well, I didn't want to spoil it for anyone with the title... but this is a tribute to Nicky Hayden, the 2006 MotoGP World Champion! Photos are from the USGP event at Laguna Seca Raceway. Enjoy, and congratulations to Nicky!
A few more images can be found on the tribute page on my website. -Todd... |

Great shots Todd. Really like the choice of aperture and shutter speeds to control the mood of each shot

I'm not sure who said this, but it is apt in so many cases.
"A true test of a Champion is one who successfully defends his (hers/their) title" Whilst not being a true diehard MotoGP I think it was Rossi who lost the championship, not Hayden who won it, but the history books will record Hayden as 2006 Champ, and in a few years time that is all people will remember. If Hayden can win in 2007 as well, with the added pressure of being the Champ, then I'll change my opinion from good to great.

Just like when KR Jr won a few years ago.
"He did?" I hear you say. I think Rossi will have a rocket up his arse for the next season though. Sweet pics though. |

It was a great seaon for the spectators this year. Right up to the fifth lap of the last race. I'll admit that I was shocked. Great pictures, thanks for posting them.

Congrats to Nicky. I'm a long time fan of Vale, but it's nice to see an American winning the World Championship again. Doesn't happen too often in any form of motorsport. No doubt little Owensboro, Kentucky is living it up with their hometown boy's achievement. Congrats again, Nicky. You trumped possibly the greatest motorcycle racer of all time. I think Vale is going to dominate next year after losing his crown though. Looking forward to a great '07 MotoGP season, not to mention '07 for my truest passion - Formula One.
