I don't know if I have a pic I'm totally satisfied with, but here are a couple I kinda like:

This probably isn't the best, but I still like it.. no good reason. LOL

Guitarist for Mark Schultz. I like the color, clarity and expression:

Guitarist for Shiny Toy Guns - I just like the stance and the photo overall:

This is Dr. Mark Lee of Third Day. I really think this is my favorite because of the color, the lighting behind him and the way he's looking up. I do wish I had a bit more guitar in the pic without losing any of Mark. LOL

Yup. I agree. I was kicking myself because I had changed from the 28-105 to the 50-200 and this is shot at 50. ARGH!

This is Craig Thatcher of The Craig Thatcher Band.
I like the faint background.

Here's one that I took two weekends ago at Crawfish Fest in northern NJ. Sonny Landreth is acknowledged as one of the best bottleneck slide guitarists ever. I really like this shot for two reasons: It captures a master at work and I really like the way all the microphone stands create an open frame around him.

Here's another one that I think fits in here. Two guitarists, a lot of color and a whole lotta rock attitude...Marah.

Great thread!
the focus on both of these is soft but I still like them

1. Gary Morse - lap steel guitar, like the color, not the usual instrument

2. Lou Toomey, - the intensity on his face and the background
