Yeah I don't get it. What is a victory worth when cheating. Oh well its their loss because it will be discovered if tried.

My question is how many photo's will be included in each section in the book?

And are all entered pics in the gallery or did they go thru a screening?

And if there will be say 100 per catagory how does the voting choose those hundred?

Just curious..

I noticed that too...but I think it's only in the people section.

If people would stoop low enough to cheat just to win a no-prize contest, I wouldn't be surprised if some are low enough to try anything to get the votes for the book.

Do you have any way of preventing this when the photos go to public vote?
Will there be a certain length of time that you have to be a member before you can vote? That would discourage people from creating 'new' members, just for voting purposes.

The same cutoff date for submitting will also apply for voting so we can easily throw away all votes done by "new" members created for the purpose of rig the votes. But I am pretty sure some will try it anyway

They will get discovered too, because those images that get through will be checked (by PMs) and if there are mediocre images with masses of votes it will definitely raise a red flag!

I can confirm that the selection process was not easy at all.

Was there a public thread on the process? If so, where?

I think a person could learn a LOT from the discussion in it, if it wasn't private (which I also understand completely!).

I am sure you will understand that the discussion on the actual selection was held in closed forum.

Having said that, we are more than happy to discuss the process itself which is outlined in the FAQ in Post#1 of this thread.
