Canon 300mm IS f4 Lens sharpness/focus issues on 20D and 5D

Hello m8s i have a problem with my canon 300mm LIS f4 lens its been to canon once for adjustments.This was about 4 months ago.At this point when i recived it back from canon it was very sharp.Now its giving me the same problems as before its not focusing right.the images are blurry even tried manual focus still the same.The garantee runs out in december 2006.Im sending the lens back to canon in the morning.But im worried if it will go wrong again when the garantee runs out.Could it be a faulty lens? Anyone had the same expirance.Thanks.

No, sorry. Is this with IS on and IS off? Or is it just with IS on?

Thanks AeroSmith.I have tried both is on and off also tried on tripod still same Thanks.

Well, if you are worried about it and think it may happen again - sell it as soon as you get it back (while it works great.)
