Default Printer Profiles and Rendering Intent

Ok, I want the photos to look like they do on screen. I am using a Canon iP6600D. Color space is sRGB. When I go to print, it asks me for a printer profile and rendering intent.

My choices for printer profile are : working RGB-sRGB, sRGB IEC61966-2.1, 1-Plug and Play Monitor-Jim (my spyder calibration), BJ Color Printer Profile, Canon iP6600D MP2, PR1, PR2, PR3, SP2, SP3 and WideGamut RGB

My choices for Rendering Intent are: perceptual, saturation, relative colormatrix and absolute color matrix

What are my best options for accurate photos based on what I see on the monitor. Logic would say the plug and play profile from the spyder software. Please help and thank you

That would be the most illogical choice, as that profile is specifically geared for your specific monitor, in it's current state. The manufacturer's profile for the printer/paper you're using should be a good start.

Don't use the spyder profile its just for the monitor. First check the paper manufacture web site for their profile for your printer and install that profile. If you can't find a profile even from Canon then My suggestion is to let the Printer manage the color. But if you want PS to manage the color make sure you switch over to ICM and no color management on the printer. Otherwise your colors will be out of wack.

I have the Spyder 2 Suite which comes w/ Printfix S/W that does an OK job. The next stop would be to have your printer profiled by pros, about $50.

Ok, no more using the spyder profile for printing. I use Canon's Photo Paper Pro and Plus 99% of the time. Ahhh, why can't there be an easy click and be done button for printing

Best choise would probabely be one of the Canon profiles, probabely SP1 or PR1.
Rendering intent; probabely Perceptual or relative Colorimetric.
For more info about Color space conversion and rendering intent: Read this.
Some reading about Canon printer profiles.
