Default Branches and bright sky

Branches against bright sky present a problem cases for digital cameras. Near the white point, relative color response is very sensitive to small changes in subject luminance, leading to image shading that is very hard to correct.

The following image is cropped from a .crw file unaltered except for choosing daylight white balance when it was transferred to PhotoShop by the Canon TWAIN driver.
