Great shot, very vivid colors all around.

I am finding out I ask a lot of questions:o Then I think" I do not look forward to the day I am not able to ask them" So for now "I will ask!"

Lively hair and great colors. The bounce flash made some dark areas around her eyes that could be undesireable and there is a certain lack of reflection in her eyes.

I think you could crop out a bit of the right and bottom while keeping the 3:2 dimensions. The chair is not part of the shot, I don't think.

Here's my re-make. I brightened the reflection inthe eyes, took away some of the shadow and cropped at 8x10. Very little difference but you said you wanted comments.

Thank you all for the positive comments :) This little one is a real cutie pie and so much fun to photograph. I have papered the walls of my house with photos of her and her red headed brother :)

ijohnson - thanks for the comments and the edit...I like your subtle edits and the tighter crop...good enhancements...I am still learning PSCS and all that it offers...I have the basics down pretty well but now I am beginning to focus on the small details...thanks again

If you like neat expressions then check out this look :) Her Mom is putting together a birthday gift her older brother just got...you can see where the red hair comes from...not a great photo but a great expression :)

Yes, I like the expressions in that image as well. :) The lil boy has a great expression too (the one with the hat on that is). I cannot figure it out though. Kinda looks like a bored or questioning face.

Ryan,

Photographing kids is really fun. After a while they forget you are there and you can capture some great shots...I'm not sure that I could do this in a studio setting however...it takes a special skill to work with young kids in a formal setting :)
