Default Photoshop CS2 ....

Anyone know where I can get it, for under $700.00. I currently have Photoshop Elements v.2 that I got with my G2 years back.

Only if your upgrading from a Lower Photoshop. You are not allowed to upgrade to CS2 from Elements. Plus, my version is so old, I can't even upgrade to Elements 5.0.

Elements 5.0 is pretty cheap though, I'd just like to get CS2.

How about ebay:

Download the trial for 30 days and see if you like it.

How's $300 direct from Adobe sound? They seem to extend the offer by 3 months every 3 months.

Actually, there is an upgrade,

https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/sto...pageNotFound=0
Choose the UPGRADE tab, then choose the option to upgrade from photoshop elements

but it is much more expensive than the upgrade from a former PS version ($499 to upgrade from PS Elements); however, it is less expensive than buying it outright.

The cheapest way is to get an unregistered version of Photoshop 6 or 7 off of eBay, and buy the upgrade. B&H has the upgrade for $150 (I haven't seen it too much lower then this on eBay) and the Photoshop 7 can be found under $100 and as low as $35. I ended up paying about $240 doing this for my full copy of CS2 (shipping included). This is about $100 less then buying a new student version, which is another low cost option.

I'd avoid most of the OEM and crazy discount products. Most of the companies you buy those from say in the fine print not to contact Adobe for customer support with the product. That means it’s not an authorized copy and if you have any problems or want updates, you're SOL.

Hey! I was going to say that, but apparently, I already did.

Anything not an upgrade that's much less than that would have me questioning the legality. The same warning applies here that does on all those "great camera deals" people find on the web. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
