Default WHL - 1st Hockey Pics

Here are some of my first attempts at hockey taken back in November (haven't had the time to make it back). Taken with Rebel XT and a Sigma 70-200 2.8. The lighting was actually quite good.

C&C always welcome.

Nice job. The 70-200mm provides (in my opinion) the perfect versatility in terms of focal length for shooting hockey behind the glass.

Too bad the second one is focused on the boards behind eh?

Are you in Kootenay or Regina? I've shot the Blades here in Saskatoon a couple of times, including against the Pats.

Yah second one would have been a really good one if the focus was better. I play hockey but had a hard time anticipating the play and trying to keep up with my camera.

I am in Regina and am planning to go to more games. Plus I just bought a 1.4TC so I want to see how that goes. I am hoping there is enough light so I can capture so good crease and goalie action in the other end of the rink.

Cheers

You have some pretty sweet shots there. I have to make it out to some Rams/Husky games next year.

Very nice pics. I just rent the same lens today to take pics of my young Batam kid in few days. I hope I will be able to do the same with my Canon XTI.
I want to evaluate the lens before buying it.
