Default UnderBelly

Had a bit of fun in PS with this leaf to bring out the beautiful textures on the 'underbelly'.
Comments appreciated, thanks for looking

I like it. but i think that it would stand out more if the top edge was lighter on the right.
Am I making sense?

I agree with Renboy, now that he pointed it out. (Very small detail). I think that's an amazing shot! I'd also like to hear about your PP.

Making perfect sense.. it's the only thing that bugs me about it. I tried another version of this and didnt like it near as much, so i guess i either accept this or keep trying lol.. i think i'll accept that darker edge tho Thanks for your comment.

Thanks so much. PP i cant remember exactly , but my usual workflow always has a levels adjustment, a slight contrast enhancement, a colour 'pop' using curves.. ( i convert to LAB mode and slide the top of the curve line over one square to the left.. the bottom of the line i move one square right, then revert back to RGB mode) and USM. I played with channel mixer a little after making the background as dark as i could with burn tool. I was trying to get the leaf to give a glowy sort of illuminated look. I then used Draganiser action to finish the image followed by a slight levels adjustment again.
