Default RAM question

I bought 2 sticks of samsung 512mb PC3200 ram to work in dual mode.
I've checked my bios and it says they are working in dual "linear" mode.

Anyone have any idea what that is? Is it the fastestway for them to work together or are there some settings I can change?

AFAIK saying dual linear mode is kind of a way of future proofing how the ram config is displayed. I updated my BIOS and my system went from bein Duall DDR to DDR in dual linear mode. Performance was not different though, which is the important bit
