Canon rebates to be extended to 2/19/07.

FWIW, I received an email earlier today from a friend (who has recently become a Canon dealer) at CES that the rebate program was going to be extended until Feb. 19. He thought that the public announcement would be made tomorrow.

This seems to be correct because I have noticed that when you go online to check your rebate status, it lists the offer date going till 2/19/07. I figured it was a mistake, but I guess maybe it will be an extension! Maybe another lens in it for me if this is the case!

I thought you had to make a purchase up until Jan. 13th, 2007. Then, you could mail in the forms up until sometime in February '07?

Maybe an extension would be cool...but I would rather have the spring of '07 rebates. Sometimes, those are triple rebates.

This is what is says on the bottom of the page when checking rebate status online, though these dates are different from everything printed up to this point:

Offer Date Range:10/15/2006 - 02/19/2007 (Last Postmark: 03/22/2007)

^^ Dunno, you might have to call Canon, and verify. There's a number, in the Fall '06 Rebates thread sticky...that I posted. Call, and check.
