Question Name and Shame??? Would You

Just want your views on this - not wishing to go into details BUT if a member on here, who you believed to be a mate did something against or kept possessions of yours and then refused to speak to you... would you name and shame that person so others would not get the abusive treatment and ignorant behaviour from that person?

No...not the purpose of this place. If they have taken illegal possession of your property...take them to small claims court.

This is a personal problem and not one to publish on here.

Solve your problem and deal with your feelings in private.

In a situation like this NOBODY WINS by airing dirty laundry.

Hmm. Very tempting, I can imagine.

If the "posessions" in question have anything to do with an equipment buying/selling/trading transaction, I would want to know, to avoid falling in the same trap.

Since it is an open forum - the person in question will surely have the opportunity to put their side of the story - and people can make up their own minds.

HOWEVER - unless learning about your issue is REALLY of benefit to us as a photographic community (i.e. IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST) - you yourself may be acting illegally by saying things which puts someone else in a bad light - whether its true or not.

Sorry to hear if you are experiencing such problems. Disputes between members should to be kept private. Usually no good comes from making it public.

I can't add anything to what's already been said. A thread like that would be deleted as soon as it was spotted.

There was another thread today, where I had to 'correct' the punctuation and grammar of someone who should be speaking the King's English (I know, they have a Queen now!) on the other side of 'the Pond', because CurtisN couldn't understand the post!

Surely there's a "U" in voyeur

Anyway, on the subject in hand, could a post be made in the "feedback" thread in the for sale forum? after all feedback is nevertheless feedback, be it positive or negative

EDIT: It would appear the name of the thread in the selling forum is "positive feedback" so i doubt you could put it in there.

You're right Carzee. I failed to engage the spell checker before putting the post button in gear
