Still need to ID this Gull, I was shooting at ISO800 so as to get a fast enough shutter speed, so I neaded to apply noiseware filters. This lost some of the finer feather details. Also the white tail of the gull is blown by over exposure.
I guess I could maybe try a PS burning tool and/or under-expose in one Raw conversion and then normal expose a second one so to overlay the two frames and try to use an a paint brush and blend the two frames. Need to check out my options. There were very few birds around yesterday so I was happy when this Gull made a splash landing. C&C welcome ![]() |

Very nice and well timed take off capture John. Can't see the rest. I noticed this link problem with Pbase several months ago so I switched my hosting service to Photobucket (and it's free) and never had problems since. I still use Pbase as my depository though.

Very nice John. Can't help with the ID and got the red x in #2, but after seeing the last two, I'll name him "Twinkle Toes".

Hi - Sorry can't see most of your shots - red x's - the one I can see is of a Slender-billed Gull.
