Default Family beach session

some beach shots from a few weeks ago. Shot these for a coworker of mine and all of us had a really good time. I tried a little something different on the b&w, but dont know if I really like it or not.....maybe could do with pix composition too.

Greg

LOVE the 3rd shot. On the first one is it me or does the mom's left hand look...kinda creepy, like it's coming out of nowhere. I think I'd like it cropped tighter.

Did I say I love the 3rd shot?

Seems like the lighting is angled a little low in the first one, too much on the little Girl. Love the third one...........

First shot the pose looks uncomfortable, second shot- nice angle lighting not the best, third shot frame it and hang it on the wall very nice.

i'd crop the first one down to almost square,
that rock in the distant water is distracting and does nothing for me..
nice portrait, but the white skin areas are a bit bright
but you can fix that

nice work

Is it just me (could be the monitor I'm on) but do the shots look overblown? Could be the effect gone for but all of them look a little overblown. Some of the details (especially in the sky and horizon/water) seem to be missing here... from my perspective.
