Default Canon TC-DC58A converter

Is there any reason to believe that this adapter shouldn't work well on cameras other than the PS Pro? Has anyone tried it with G6 or S2/S3?

I'm not an expert but I've read on other posts that the letter at the end of the part in this case 'A' indicates optical matching to a given camera type. Its the edge and corners of the image where quality may suffer if the lens is not a good match. Not an expert - remember!

A couple of flashes and a couple of strobes. My other camera is a Sony DSC-P200.

How does one test for corner and edge sharpness?

Some years ago I used a chart similar to the one below to measure/calibrate resolution on professional broadcast TV cameras.

Things do not change too much on this. dpreview.com described its ‘new’ resolution chart on October 2005.

Good quality resolution charts are not cheap enough for a normal hobby budget though.
