Bit too 'pinkish', and probabely some blown red channels. That being said: I like the first and last...

Well...If you haven't shot a show since early December...you must have been pretty rusty...The composition is real good...but the colors seem to need some more work...

What do you use for noise control in PP?

I was scrambling for a while to remember what was going on. All the red channels were blown to hell (as noted by someone above), so I half-fast 'fixed' 'em...They would probably be better suited in black and white, looking back on it. Buckcherry played before Three Days Grace (other thread) and my camera was in my car all day (oops!) and I was dealing with some foggy glass too. There is now a few silica gel packs in my bag to keep that from happening again -- the venue called me an hour before the show...Needless to say I was hardly prepared. February is looking busy, however...

I love these forums! Family and friends always say "oh, they look great!" But they are pretty clueless. I think I'd die if my girlfriend said "looks like you blew out some of the colors, you idiot!".

Noise ninja for PP.

Than you just need some more spare time at the computer with NN...It's just a tweak here and there...It's nothing new to you...

I find it frustrating when the stage lights add red to the natural skin tone...sometimes it takes several repetitions to get it just right...and that takes time...I'm sure, that's nothing new to you...

I'm tweaking the tones up front in RAW, but it doesn't always hold up...than I go to levels too...

We were there and met the guys, very good shots. I did not have anything but my P&S and the batteries died before we even met the guys. We also discovered P&S are not meant to shoot a lot, both mine and my friends got very warm and would not turn on for about 15 minutes!!

Not a pro by any means, just trying to make it so someday I might be considered a photographer and more than just a mom with a camera!

So here I am wondering what's up with the tats and no shirts, etc., and wondering what the appeal is and all you guys can talk about is blown highlights and clipped channels!? No wonder my stuff is so pedestrian ... all my performers keep their clothes on, sigh.

I love this band, lots of energy, and fun to shoot. I'd definitely go with black-and-white, it's the poor man's fix to blown reds - as in, it's quicker and easier to deal with, especially when strapped for time.

I like how sharp these are. Also, good drummer shot.

Small venue, huh? With that basement ceiling tile....

Cheers!
