Default A Wolf in Sheep's clothing...

Howdy.

I have been lurking here for a little while now.
I was linked to this forum from elsewhere sometime ago.

Over the last month or so I have gone back through about 80 or so pages of posts.
I check things out on a daily basis and recognize many user names and avatars.

I have a secret.

Please don't hurt me.

I shoot Nikon.

I didn't realize until I had been around for a little while that this was a "Canon" forum....and by then I was somewhat addicted...and by addicted I mean this little corner of the Internet had become my favourite wedding photography forum.

Can we all just get along?

I mean I love you all and I think this place is great, and I really want to stick around...but are you going to ship me off to a island now that my secret is out?

Is there a special place for my kind? (Please don't go all Nikonians on me)
Is anyone else out there in the same boat?

I can't be the only person around here not shooting Canon? ....Or can I?

As a peace offering here are 4 random shots from my first ever engagement shoot this weekend.

I don't think they are too bad for a first time engagement shoot...but I need to ease up on the PP and you know... not crop peoples faces...other than that I think they will work....they are 4 of about 80 I will be forwarding to the couple.

How many shots do you usually take at / provide from an engagement shoot?

-Shawn

(You see what I did there....I actually asked a question in hopes of acceptance)

You can be a "Canon Hangaround"

I'm having no problems with Nikon - I almost bought one when I went dSLR, but eventually opted for Canon. So nothing wrong with Nikon.

Love your shots, and especially #2!

Welcome!

Oh, PS... see you're from the same region as my hubby. I'll be in Canada from the end of May to end of June (shooting hubby's cousins wedding, then vacation). Maybe we can hook up and if you want a Canonian as a Nikon hangaround, I'd be happy to tag along if you have a wedding in June.

I love Nikon shooters, dude. They taste like chicken. And welcome to the forum. Doesn't matter what you shoot with. We all share a love for photography and that's all that really matters. BTW, great shots!

With that said, ditch the Nikon before I hurt you.

No sweat Shawn - they let me hang around here, and I'm Bi... My D80 does stuff that I wish my 5D would!

Nice start with your E-shoot!

Welcome Shawn. It will likely be alot cheaper for you to hang out here than a Canon user since you won't be lurking in the equipment forums. Gee I am only my 25th post and have spent about three thousand dollars since I have arrived.

Wow, you must have a Canon in Nikon clothing, I didn't know Nikons could take photos that were in focus, exposed correctly, and in a format that is easily readable.

As Shuttermom said, its a camera. Lightproof box with a hole in it. They all take photos, its up to the photographer to use this tool correctly - and you certainly can use your N.

Gee, I have over 250 posts here... does that mean that I spent 10x more $$ than you? Nah! (*Looks at wallet*) WHHHAAATTT Where did all my money go?? What happened?

Tim must have been rich (the key here is "must have been" )
