I originally wanted to print 20x30 from Shutterfly but I just got back from Michael's Toms River N.J and ended up buying a 24x36 frame since it was on sale for 40% off

I use White House Custom Color www.whcc.com they will require that you register and submit samples (free-of-charge) but it is an excellent service. Good luck, Dennis

I'm scoping out both places. I kind of like color inc. I think it was more direct as far as knowing what they offer and what price.

I just got the price after downloading the software. http://www.whcc.com/ seems very flexible but it's more complicated and it seems to be more geared for pro's or someone who has a studio. I'm just a hobbyist who is experimenting printing beyond my 8.5x11 epson printer. LOL. I must say, this forum kicks butt. I post a question and in minutes you get feedback from the people. Much props to you folks out there.

I'll check that out to. Actually, white house software is pretty good after poking around on it. Maybe I was just not patient enough at first. I'll keep checking these suggestions out.

printroom seems pretty cool with that sell your picture option. Makes you want to go out and shoot. The "http://pephoto.com" has a software that tells you if your image is going to be good quality for poor. I think the whcc.com software is pretty good since you have the color correction option for 1 per print and you can give instruction on your order. http://www.jumbogiant.com/index.html seems very intuitive. I guest I can't go wrong with any of them but know I'm thinking about renting a 5d to take this picture

I've used WHCC for about a year and always have color issues.... Recently did an order with Color Inc for comparison and they had a much better screen to print match... My monitor is calibrated, etc.... Customer service at WHCC is top notch so if you ever have problems they are quick to help, but they couldn't help me on the color issues. Their prints come back to me more saturated and with a higher amount of yellow in them, and greater contrast in the highlights which isn't a good thing when they are close to being blown..... They use Kodak paper. The people that us WHCC generally LOVE them and there are a handful of people like me that have problems... Maybe I'm too picky, I dont' know....
Color Inc also has awesome customer service and a great track record. They service many pro on-location photographers that I know of. They use Fuji paper which renders more depth in the reds and their contrast levels and overall color is in line with my calibrated monitor... I spoke to the owner once and he was really nice.. He actually works in the plant during the busy season and he was answering phones the day I called... He used to be a photographer and was frustrated about screen to print match with many of the labs he was using, so he went into the printing business... Take it for what it's worth, but that's his story. Anyway, do let us know what you decide... And I'd be interested to see you image when it's finished.

Honestly - with a frame that large, are you not considering matting your print? Large prints with a good mat look fantastic. I'd get the 20x30" print and get a mat custom cut in a color that complements the image well, and go wild...worth the cost for the improvment in presentation.

Staples, although not cheap, can do prints up to 3'. But this way you can do it locally maybe and pick it up.

Matt it and print at http://www.mpix.com. They have a max size of 20x30, but their qualtiy and price and service are the best. You can even download profiles for color matching. The Kodak Endura Metallic is an awesome looking paper; it gives prints a pop that inkjet prints just can't get.

Pephoto.com charges $9.00 for a 20x30. How can you beat that? The quality is great. this is 1/2 to 1/4th of what other sites charge. You will not be sorry for trying them out.
