Nice. How do you attach the camera to the telescope? I am sure it's a serious rig...as this picture is very detailed. Also, what's the exif data, of this picture?

Very nice...thanks for sharing.

I used a Meade basic 1.25" adapter which screw's into a T-ring mounted on the Rebel. The adapter then slips into the focuser on the scope. The Image you see was cropped because it only filled 65% of the original prime focus no eyepiece frame. The scope I used is a Orion XT 8 newtonian with a full thickness pyrex mirror from a old Meade 826. The 826 mirror has about 2" added FL this gave me anough focus in travel to now get a pic without moving the original thin plate glass primary mirror foward to reach focus with the camera. The mount I use is a Vixen Great Polaris.

I sure will later when sun is below the trees to much light and shadows right now. I also plan later to take another Moon pic when the sun goes down this evening. Thank you for the nice comments.

Yeah I have 4 of them now here's my 8" mirror scope I used for the Quarter Moon Pic. The clouds moved in and I was unable to get a near full moon Pic tonight. Thanks all for the nice comments.

Your's is one of the better shots of the moon. Excuse my ignorance, but how do you attach the camera to this telescope? And how much something like this cost, anyway?

Beautiful picture, nice telescope too! I have a similar issue with my 8" reflector, the rack doesn't bring the camera close enough to the secondary for prime focus. I guess relocating the primary closer to the secondary would push the convergence point out further in the focus rack, but that will also require enlarging the secondary and going to a larger diameter focus rack.. Maybe replace the focus rack with a low profile unit and a smaller adjustment to the primary?
