Just download the trial, and make up your own mind.
I prefer DPP. Then again, there are a lot of people who find the C1 workflow better.

I think DPP produces somewhat better images. I bought and have since uninstalled C1 for that reason, but not in favor of DPP. Rather, I use DxO. Seems to produce the best images to my eye.

Nice gallery. Are all the images there processed through C1?

If you took an image and had it processed by someone that knew each converter well, you probably couldn't tell the difference.
The key to RAW conversion, IMO, is to find converter that you are comfortable with and learn it very well. I prefer C1 Pro which has been my standard for sometime now. It's not that DPP cannot do just as good a job. I prefer the user interface and when you are doing hundreds of conversions in a sitting you want something that you are comfortable with and are able to work at optimum speed without losing any quality. I've tried most of the RAW converters out there right now and I still keep coming back to C1. RSP was a close second. I liked its user interface but I didn't like the skin tones that it produced. If you want to be able to the application of picture styles in conversion then DPP is your choice. I hope that Canon does something to improve the UI in some of the upcoming versions. C1 is not a cheap program but it does give good results and their support is very good. I had always gotten an answer very quickly.

I like C1 Pro. With the correct profiles it is awesome.

Gotta agree about C1 pro being better.
I did switch to DPP for a while but noticed it tends to overexpose the red channel and i found i would loose detail in, for instance red clothes. But the biggest problem i have is no rotation tool. If DPP had that i might stick with it. I do love the way you can move shots between folders like you can in XP's folders. You cant do that as easily in C1. But as darktiger said, with the right profiles C1 produces the best colour IMHO. And it has a really quick work flow (at least for me)
