I bought a Canon Ixy 300 in Japan (and saved £150 on it and 64 Mb memory) As a camera it works very well, but the USB connection is extremely slow, taking as long to download a shot as did the Twain interface on my old Ricoh. I expected the USB to be much quicker. Am I doing something wrong, or were my hopes unfounded?

David, I've never used the USB interface on my S110 but I doubt that it would be very fast. I use a CF reader and I am very pleased with the speed. It makes it super convenient too.
I know this doesn't answer your question but I thought you might be interested... Regards, Tom Brown |

Hello,
When I first got My IXUS 300 I found downloading on the USB very slow and it got gradually worse as I built up the libary of pics in ZoomBrowser. It eventually became unusable. I stopped using Zoombrowser and went to Downloader from www.breezesys.com this is very fast which suggests that it is a problem with zoombrowser and not the USB link generally. Darren. |
