Default Contract

I met some newlyweds at a bar and took some pictures. I poofs on my site for them and they are going to purchase a CD of the pictures. If im going to use their pictures on my website or even if im not, should I get a contract signed from them? What contract? wedding? portrait?

If they are already married and you didn't shoot their wedding, get a model release.

in general have them sign a contract BEFORE shooting.

in this case a portrait contract/model release is needed. Usually you would need a contract to explain what they are paying you for, or getting in return, how you can use the shots, what is expected etc

part of my contract:

...By engaging me to undertake your wedding photography, you also agree that any or all of your images may be used for future clients viewing or used in any advertising or any competition entry...
