Combusting Lightbulb

After reading an article about photographing exposed lightbulb filaments, my friend and I gave it a try:

Interesting effect. I did add the red hue in post-processing.

Very, very nice. I had a similar situation, lit up a flashlight bulb whose glass envelope had cracked off, and never thought to photograph it.

Just be careful especially if playing with mains electricity. I use small flashlight bulbs.

What a week. This shot (on my photoblog) made the #1 story on Digg.com on Monday. Since that time (as of now), I have had over 160,000 visitors to the site. Yeesh! At least my server kept up with the traffic
