Default I cant stand this weather...

It's cold and grey, it feels like it has been for a month now.

No animals out and about
No sporting events
To cold to wait for any

People are all hiding inside for the same reasons.

I'm photgraphiclly bored...and i want 3 lenses, thats it! 3 new lenses and i cant:

A.) find them
B.) afford them

I wana go to sleep 'till spring

Yah, I know the feeling. I can't stand the lack of green... Where's all the green?

I've been "cheating" shooting geese and gulls and such. Big, easy, common targets. And they're out. Got a couple of swans today, and a woodpecker and a couple of blackbirds of some sort. Saw a couple mergansers, too far to shoot. And I thought I saw some buds on a tree, but realized that I was wishing for buds...

But there's stuff to do Timmy. Practice! On something, anything. Sure, you'll delete most of them, but you'll still get better in the mean time. Guess why I've been shooting geese and gulls? Because I need the practice shooting moving targets! So what's your game? Too cold out to take moon pics? Stay inside and shoot through a window - it may very well distort the image but you'll get some practice. Go out and buy a plant or two. I just got 3 for $10. Lotsa macro practice, playing with DoF. No keepers, but I'm better than I was a week ago.

But hey, spring's almost here. I've gotten home from work with sunlight in the sky. To me that's Spring! Don't believe me? Take a walk in the woods about 8 or 9 in the morning, and listen. The bird's know it's spring.

Of course, if you live in Alaska you may have a while yet....

Try Boston some time. Famous New England quote: "If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes."

I once left work in near-blizzard conditions and 5 inches of snow on the ground already. By the time I got home - 20 miles away - it was 45-degrees and not a flake had fallen. That's what living 100 yards from the ocean can be like, though.

hey Tim,
down south here (270 miles), we got cliffs, forrests, and 70deg today!
you should fly south for the winter, of just take some snow pics. how
about some cityscapes? plenty of that up there. see if you can find a gargoyle or grotesque on an old bldg.
