Default Show your best G series shots

Hello ppl
I was really looking forward to buying the new G7 when I read some really bad reviews about poor picture quality even at low ISO. On the other hand this camera fits best with my type of fotography (street, ppl, events,..).

So I want to be convinced that it can do the job well. Please post your good G series shots (and say which G it was and try to give some info as to the shooting conditions if possible).

It is really terrible that digital cameras are severa times the cost of an old film one, but still noone makes one that just plain and simple is a good still image camera.

Well, since all old film cameras are used, you'd have to compare used digital prices. The G3 is known as a mighty fine P&S, and it can be had used for a little over $100. What's terrible about that?

As I'm sure you know, there are 104 previous competition threads in the top sticky that have the photos you're looking for, all from the G series.

here is the link that will give you the "history" from the G series competitions
simply scroll down and open up the link for each competition
note some of the images were taken with a Pro1 but you simply need to look
beside each image to see what it was shot with...

Margie, that is a lovely capture. The only thing I would do is to burn in the white petals a bit to coax out some detail. They look like catleyas, but I don't think they are.

Welcome to this side of the forums, I hope you can join us in the weekly G-series Speed Challenges.

Thank you BB for your welcome to this side of the forum!

I am a native N.Y.'er and enjoyed seeing my home city in your portfolio! Some great shots...really makes me feel like I am there again.

Good thinking to burn the white for more detail ! The flowers are irises...

This camera is fun...but I realized yesterday as I grabbed by DSLR...it will never takes its place! OK...it might in certain places, but not entirely!

You simply post a photo just like this one. Read the rules at the top of each challenge thread. It's not hard, but don't forget to enter a title in the subject line.

Wow Andrey, why didn't you enter that in last week's "Animals that aren't pets" challenge. I love it, it's really great. Good one!

Very nice Andrey, nice color and sharpness...
I am just getting used to the camera and had 2 flower photos from today that I thought came out quite well...It seems to have really true color...I like that!
