Default Bowens Travel Pak

Guys,

I have two strobes, which have the kettle lead (3 pin) connection at the rear. My strobes can be used as slaves, connected by sync cable , but at the moment, I have a wireless trigger plugged in the jack.

Now, I have been looking to get a travel battery pack, such as the bowens travel pack from warehouse express.

The battery has a multipin connecter, which is what the lead will also have. Now, I take it that the bowens strobes also have the multi pin connections.

Can you get adapters etc, that convert from the multipin adapter to the 3 pin input on the back of my strobes.

Bowens do a full kit, with the strobes, softboxes and the battery pack, but I don't wanty to double up on things I have already got.

Could some please assist or offer any advise in terms of whether there is an alternative to this batter pack, that will fit mine ?

Many thanks

Sorry, only just seen your post.

No, the Travel Pak will only work with the Bowens kit. Each head has two separate sockets. One for mains power (kettle lead) and the other to take the special low-voltage lead that comes with the pack - so unless your heads also have the low-voltage circuitry built in, and the same wired D-type connector, they're not going to be any good to you.

You could have a look at the Focus-on-Imaging show at the NEC at the end of this month, there could be something suitable there.
