Any Nascar fans out there?!

Theres lots of Nascar fans, although Im not sure how many on this site. But lets find out. Here's the plan. I'm going to start leagues for "The Ultimate Fantasy League" that is run by Nascar on their site. Located here. http://fantasy.nascar.com/games/league/ Which is free to join.

I'll start with 3 leagues for now since the first race is in 2 days. I know I should have thought of this sooner.

I will pick certain races, Daytona, Richmond, 'Dega, Bristol etc. The actual races will be determined later. But Daytona 500 will be the first. The Points leader in each of those leagues will receive a 1 week rental of their choice, but you will have to pay shipping usually around $20-$30 for both shipping to you and back to me. Depending on the weight of the lens. They come with tracking numbers, and shipping insurance.

If you already have a league sign up with another email address to join this league if you would like.

The Passwords to join a league are as follows.

The Rules:

* You can only enter one league. This will maximize the number of users here on POTN involved in the game.

* If you already have a nascar account create a new account ( its free ) with the same username you use here on POTN. If your first Nascar account is the same name as you use here and you are already in another league use the same name but add a number at the end.

* Prizes will only be awarded to United States Residents.

* Cost is free to join and play.

* The 1 week rental of choice may be used at any time during. If you win more then once you can turn it into another week rental or use on another lens.


I will post the names of member in each league once the leagues fill up. I will also add more leagues as they are needed.

Bummer... I didnt even get to pick and I signed up right before my post because I had no Idea how to.. haha. It states in the rules that the driver must be entered by 11:30 FRIDAY before the race. Looks like we ALL missed it!

"IMPORTANT: The auction begins when the first participant enters a league. It ends 24 hours after the sixth (final) person enters the league. Auctions are held between the hours of 8:00 AM - 11:59 PM ET.
If your auction has not concluded by 11:59 PM ET, it will be suspended until 8:00 AM ET the following day. To be eligible for the current weeks race, your auction draft must be completed by Friday 11:30 PM ET."

For future races everyone should know this. Maybe if we pick before the race and post it here, Kevin will still give us our weeks rental if we win...haha if we pick correctly... but not likely. Dont hurt to try does it.

I always go to dover and have to mis it because of a triathlon. I was going to try get get photot passes this year with my NYIP ID.. not for the main race but for the bush or truck race and pratices.. Plus up n the stands is a better place anyways for photos of race day .. that is where my beer is..

Well that sucks! I should have thought of this earlier. Looks like we will miss the first race. But it'll give everyone a few days to sign up instead of a few hours. DOH! I guess sign up when they open and we will go from there, see how many leagues get filled.

what an ending to the race today... The # 07 Jack Daniels Car! I wonder how many drivers have ever completed the race UPSIDE Down during a crash? And then turn right side up!

Elliot Sadler finished the race upside down 3 years a go and then backwards the year after at Daytona, atleast I think it was Daytona. Also Ryan Newman has finished a few races upside down, but the race wasnt complete.

I still haven't been to a race, yet I'm close enough to Dover and Pocono.
