After being kicked from the photopit after the first 3 slayer songs I broke out the new 70-200 2.8 IS and took these from the balcony, handheld...
So glad I have the 70-200, it arrived just in time too! Some of my 17-55mm 2.8 IS shots are here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=279640 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I like the 3rd shot of the drummer best.....why'd they kick you out of the photo pit?

thanks! I actually have a few versions of the first one, also in b&w and with a weird golden yellow pattern everywhere.

what for? just because slayer is old doesn't mean you should be hard on yourself.

and apparently this was moved from the canon lens section, but I see plenty of other of photo threads that don't even list what lens was used, still in the 'LENS' section.

Awesome photos. But to echo another's post, what happened that got you booted from the photo pit? Was it a "time's up" kind of thing?

at the "corp rock" level, I hear many venues will kick you out of the show, not just the pit. You have to have a ticket/purchase one if you want to stay to watch the show or continue shooting outside the pit.

Also, sometimes the artist won't even let you shoot them from a short distance, you have to be 30+ feet away. Afraid you'll pickup all their blemishes or something.
