Default Press Pass

I wasnt really sure where to post this, but, i figured this section would be fine.

I have officially become the University of Arizona paintball team's photographer as of sunday when i took the field with them and shot over 500 photos. They responded very well and loved "my work".

now, for the question....

They going to be playing at the LA Open, not sure when it is because they did not really talk about it and i havent checked online. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about getting press passes for events such as this, and what are they gonna cost?

thanks

You'll probably get better answers in the Business Forum, but usually for a press pass you need to be sponsored by an actual publication or organization. The event should have a website with informatoin about press passes in it. With regards to cost, only the LA Open can tell you that.

If your team is participating, Id think you should be able to cover it. But, I'd also think you need to have some kind of official paperwork, title, etc from the school also, not just the fact that you say all of a sudden you are their official photographer. Get the school to issue you a media pass of some sort and then parlay that into your LA Open invite. Just a thought.
