Default pls pls C&C on this one

hi

i tried really hard on this pic and really would like your comments / your thoughts for area for improvement etc

as i said i want to do photography more and more but need C&C for me to get better

It's a great catch. I might have either cropped tighter or backed out to get the hands. A little more light in the eyes would've been nice, but you can't always get everything, right?

adorable, the dark eyes are buggin' me a bit but, it is cute. Not sure if less contrast would help the eyes or if the shadow from the hat is the culprit.

Cute as a bug! Nice shot. If I could change anything, I would lighten it in PP, so you can see the eyes. Nice work, keep it up!

It is too bad about his eyes, I find kids outdoors usually need an additional reflector to shoot some light upward as lighting the eyes is so important to their expression. Great shot though...it makes me long for summer.

Can I see this in color? I suspect it is way more appealing. There is clearly a lot of bright color in this shot and the B+W conversion just seems wrong to me eye.

I think that there is a bit too much contrast and it has really darkened the eyes too much.

Great moment, great composition.
