here is my recent correspondence with Canon Canada:
I was under the impression that the Powershot S3 IS is not compatible with SDHC memory cards. However, recent reading tells me that in fact the S3 will accept SDHC SD cards. Can you please verify this for me one way or the other. Thanks Kindly their reply: Thank you for your E-mail inquiry regarding your PowerShot S3 IS. The PowerShot S3 IS is indeed compatible with SDHC memory cards. This is a very recent addition to the specifications. Sincerely, James D. I've seen posted elsewhere that the S3 is compatible with SDHC only up to 4GB. Anyone know if this is true or why a 4GB limit?

Max There's no such thing as a bad photo, just the wrong audience. EQUIPMENT: Canon Powershot S3 IS, 2x Transcend 2GB x150 SD, 2x 4GB Class 4 Dane-Elec SDHC, LensMate 52mm Adapter Tube and lots of stuff to hang on it. A couple of flashes and a couple of strobes. My other camera is a Sony DSC-P200. |
