Default Lake Jordan Part 2

Hi everyobdy! Here's another shot of Lake Jordan and this was PP'd as well. C&C always welcome. Thanks.

I really like the composition on this. Good effort. Try brining it out a bit more - lacks a touch of contrast and looks slightly washed out.

Thanks for sharing.

Well I don't understand how this looks washed out. The lighting situation here was that the sunlight was peeking out the clouds and, if you notice the light was peeking out on the right side of the shot. The only filter used here was a Lee 3 stop soft grad. I did boost contrast, exposure and gamma without having to blow it out. If you look at this thread I didn't have that problem here:http://www.photography-on-the.net/fo...d.php?t=280343
Thanks.

Sounds like you don't like C&C then?
Why ask for it?

I too like the composition, great potential. I think it does lack a little contrast and vibrancy but nothing some careful selections, feathering and levels/curves can fix. Dodge and burn tools are pretty cool too.

Hope you don't mind

Spend a little more time than I did though, helps a little?

I didn't say I didn't like C&C. Just wondering why it's looks washed out. I can understand where you can see it looks washed out but, I was careful in not blowing my picture out when I was doing my PP. Thats it.

I like the PPing in this last one the most. Brings out the rays of sun.

I like it but I do think it maybe a bit too saturated for my liking. I've read that too much saturation in colors may be a bit unreal. I don't mind it in anyway but, is that bad if a photo is too saturated? Idk im just an amateur.

No apology tareq. I appreciate you doing the pp on this. I agree on the warmth tho but since you only can work with a reduced file it's kind of difficult to make the correct adjustments. Thanks =).

A picture being "washed out" isn't an opinion. Washed out is where there is pure white or pure black pixels on a picture. Can't argue about a picture being washed out, unless it was an intended effect, in this case, no.
