Default 2006 A1GP

I was able to attend the 2006 A1GP Race at Laguna Seca. While there I was lucky to get some free pit passes from Team USA. So while wandering about the starting line (yes the starting line on the track - sorry I am not a pro photographer so I get excitied about stuff like that) I took these photos. This is my first post here in POTN - Motorsports so let this also serve as a hello! Thanks, Sean

Welcome to POTN

Did you get some car action at all? or even static shots from the pits?

I don't know the drivers.

I really like the lighting on both headshots.

That'd be Christian Fittipaldi and Jos Verstappen?

Hi all,

Wazza - Thanks for the welcome. And it was a miserable weekend for shooting, winter in California (rained like mad)... you never know what you are gonna get. But it was clear for some practice and most of the race. So I'll post some more photos of that tonight.

Kster - Thanks. I wish I could say I planned that but the cloud cover, wet ground and occasional sun was all I had to work with for those shots.

Ves - Right! You win the prize. Ironically I have a series of photos in the corkscrew when Christian was late braking and missed the first turn(left@ the top of the hill), he went down the hill in the dirt, then got back on the course by the second turn and proceeded to use Jos's car to make sure he he doesnt miss the next turn(right) and pushed Jos off the track on the left. Time for me to find a place to start hosting some photos I guess?
