Default Mourning Doves

Although they eat the lion's share of my bird seed I welcome these pretty birds to our feeders. They are lovely and more than willing to share with the chickadees and titmice, unlike the blue jays (although I'm waiting to get a nice shot of one of them ). I also love the sound of their wing whirr as they fly off into the nearby trees.

Nice shots Michele. These came out nice. For some reason, the few times I've gotten close enough to shoot, my shots of doves didn't come out good.

Thanks Mitch. I sent a link to your site to some birding friends. I think they will be quite impressed. When I grow up (and hit the lottery!) I want to take photos just like yours!

Thanks Michele. I was reminded of your shots when I was out today. I haven't seen any doves in a couple months, and today I saw one.
