Canon and international lens warranty coverage?

A friend and I both want to order Canon 70-200mm's from B&H and we're both in Canada. A question I have is, will there be a Canadian warranty to cover that lens once it gets here? My friend says Canon offers international warranties on lenses but not bodies, I just want to make sure I'll be covered before I order.

I bought a 24-105L recently from BH and it seemed to indicate it carries a US/Canada warranty. I can pull out the papers later today to confirm this. At work now.

Anyone else?

The lenses carry an International warranty. I know Canon Australia will honour the warranty on the lenses I purchased from Adorama. The warranty card says Canon International Warranty.
