Default Wood Ducks

New lens, here are the ducks. This was as close as I could get all day. Ducks and geese are hunted near here so they are really shy!

Start taking bread pieces down and throwing them in the water, pretty soon they will connect you with the food and become less shy.

I was in a kayak and they landed "close" to me. Took a look and flew away. I think I'm just going to have to try to pick a good spot and sit!

I sympathize, poloman! I drove by a pond yesterday - whole flock of wood ducks there. As I rolled down the window to position the camera, they departed, stage right.
They sure are pretty birds.
