This was taken several years ago, as we vacation in Michigan every year, and every year Daddy has his little "photo shoot". After my regular shots, I just let my wife and kids do what they wanted and I would burn up the rest of my film.

Didn't even know what I had until I got home several days later and then developed. This is one of those that speaks for itself, and hangs on the wall.

(for those who care: Pentax 645N, T-Max 100, HC-110 dil. B, scanned neg, edited w/CS2)

I haven't done any candid photography, and i think I might go shoot a few shots, I know a few think people shouldn't do it but lets not turn this thread into a argument.
Lets just see some of your favourate candid's.

:D :D :D

There's a bit of a difference taking candids of people you know, and people you don't. I have seen many powerful candids of strangers, but that is an area I am not comfortable with as a photographer (yet?). From the forums I've read on "street" photography, it does require practice and a certain level of smoothness and tactfulness if you don't want to offend/alarm strangers.

If you want to take true candid shots the subject should not be aware you are taking their picture, A long lens is the best, the shots I posted were shot between 100 and 250 ft away,
70-300 lens

The OP didn't really define "candid" as you can see from his original request above. To me "candids" are unposed shots...to others it is "stelth street photography." Take the last post for instance...weddings "candids" are a big part of the B&G's day. So, OP...what do you want to see posted here???
