Default Crossing the Ridge

I'd like some feedback on this picture, general opinions, as well as what can be improved. Still working on my technique.

I like the composition. It actually does a good job of telling a story. I can see just a hint of straighted light which is nice. But the blown highlights are a distraction to me. /Dan

I think you did a good job on the composition. The lighting is a little harsh and as an option you could maybe enhance the shadowing to create more of a silhouette(SP). Overall it looks like you have a good eye.

I like the shot, but like CannedHeat and tazrebel said - the lighting is a bit harsh. I did a crop on the monitor with my hands, that eliminated the left most sunlight - your profile doesn't say IMAGE EDITING OK, but if you are interested I can show you want I am talking about.
