Wrote my name with a flashlight using a 10 sec. exposure. Just took the end off of the flashlight and wrote my name backwards so it would show up correct.

Great pen-er-flashlightmenship. And writing it backwards. It looks great!

Cool. If you moved around a bit more you might have become invisible. Also, if your flashlightmenship is better writing it forward, you could always flip the photo to correct it later. Cool idea. gives me something else to do on rainy days. Lights out, blue light writer... Thanks, Kyle.

Well, I wanted to write out Thanks Kyle and post it, but my flashlightmenship ain't what it used to be. After a few attempts I just decided to say Hi. When I got to my signature it was easier. Light writer, that's what a photographer is, right? Photo=light, grapher=writer. Thanks, Klye.

Another thing you can do, is hold the flashlight normally, but face your back to the camera. Then you will have the light pointing at the camera over your shoulder, and you'll still be "writing" normally!
Heres one I took a LONG time ago with my old Fuji S7000 ![]() Another fun thing to do is play around with a laser pen with the same idea (long exposure). Heres one where I shined the laser pen through a crystal glass that had a bunch of facets to refract the light in all different ways! Again, crappy quality with the old camera, LoL ![]() Last edited by <AkulA> : 19th of March 2007 (Mon) at 21:03. |

yeah i want to try it in the dark see what the result would be, this is really fun to do. Although it took about 50 times to get my name legible, kinda weird writing backwards in the air.

Thats awesome! I like the graffiti look of the K. LOL it does take about 50 or so times in order for it to come out the way you want it. But when it's all said and done, the outcome is very cool. Later on tonight i'm going to try drawing different things. But here are 2 more pics I took that look cool. I took the same flashlight and put it in the hole of a blue Memorex CD and then did the same thing with an orange Memorex CD.
